The things we take for granted.

I very rarely watch TV, there are probably only two or three things, I watch, I would much rather be reading. However, now and again, something grabs my attention and on this occasion, I was drawn to a programme called "The Write Offs" it is on Channel 4. This is a programme that works with 8 people who have struggled all their lives, with something that has always come naturally to me. I must admit, there have been tears watching it. I have never struggled with reading and writing (grammar is another matter!) and watching this re-iterates to me, how very lucky I am. The people on the show range from 22 to 66 and their stories about schooling are all the same. Naively, I would have thought things would have evolved. It will make me more mindful of how lucky I am and how difficult it is for so many others from shopping, travelling, applying for jobs, functioning in this everyday society. Feeling grateful.

Have a great day. Kirsty

Reading Targets

Do you count how many books you have read each year? Do you set a target ? It is not something I have ever done. I do not currently make a note of what books I have read or make a note of my reviews.
